Mighty Morphin Midlands Rangers
The Werecat’s homeland is a large tropical island called Nekoshima, located in the middle of the Sea far off the coast of the Midlands. The island was happened upon by Human traders over a hundred years ago. The Werecats welcomed the Humans to their island showing them the utmost respect, though they did not speak naught but their native language the Werecats curiosity and hospitality disarmed the trader’s wariness. While not primitive the Werecats have never seen a ship before, never thought that there was anything on the other side of the great water surrounding them. The Werecats accepted the traders into theirs homes offering them all manner of strange cuisines. It wasn’t long before the two races started learning each others languages and could communicate with one another. The Humans were welcomed to stay on the island but the majority of them had families back home and refused. The Werecats seeing this as their chance to see the world offered to load up provisions for the ship if several of them could accompany the ship back to the mainland. Much like what happened at Nekoshima the Werecats were met first with suspicion and hate but quickly turned most people’s idea of them by their rigid etiquette. The Werecats were accepted into society with little animosity.
Culture and Society
Werecats society revolves around their etiquette and cooking. They believe in strict rules of etiquette, treating all people with the utmost respect and admiration. If someone is caught deliberately being disrespectful it is not uncommon for the person to be attacked outright. The Werecats pride themselves on their masterful skill in the culinary arts, in fact most of them are hired as head chefs for the nobility. At a young age their children are taught proper manners and the art of food preparation. Because of their more animalistic nature however they do not believe in any deity, seeing the idea of one as childish but they would never openly insult someones beliefs. Believing instead in survival of the fittest, when a Werecat is killed they are buried in the ground so that their body can then give back to the earth.
Alignment: Werecats are usually chaotic leaning towards neutral. Freedom takes precedence in their nature.
Religion: They do not believe in a deity.
Language: Catonese is their primary language which has a tendency to end a sentence with the a “Meow” as a means to invite the other person to speak. This tendency has transferred over to the other languages they have learned even when talking in common they tend to end their sentences with a"Meow".
Adventuring Werecats Werecats who take up adventuring usually do so to see more of the world. Their natural curiosity has lead them to travel a great deal but is stymied by their tendency to get sidetracked into seeing all a place has to offer before moving on.
As a Werecat you have the following racial traits.
Ability score Adjustment: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Age: Werecats age slightly faster than humans reaching adulthood at 10 and live to be around 70.
Size: Medium, they grow to be around 5-6 feet tall and have slight builds, though feral Werecats can be up to 7 feet tall and have a more muscular build.
Speed: 30 feet.
Superior Darkvision: You can see in darkness within 120 feet of you as if it were dim light. When you do so, your vision is in black and white.
Feline Grace: You have proficiency with the Acrobatics skill.
Chef Sense: You naturally know when food or drink has been poisoned.
Languages: You can speak read and write Catonese and Common.
Tool Proficiency: You gain proficiency with the artisan tool: cook’s utensils.

Domestic Werecats resemble the more common house cats seen throughout the land. This has allowed them to become accepted into society more easily because they are familiar and look more tame. They are more likely to stay in one place and explore everything it has to offer they are also the more likely to become chefs for the nobility.

Extra Language: You can speak, read and write one extra language of your choice.
Feral Werecats resemble the large predator cats of the Midlands, resembling lions, tigers, panthers and other large felines. This has lead them to be less accepted into Human society, thus they prefer the more wild places of the world and feel more comfortable in the woods. They are more likely to be move from place to place but keeping to the forest as much as possible because of this they have become accustomed to moving through the wilderness undetected.

Wild Knowledge: You gain proficiency with the Survival skill.
Mask of the Wild: You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist and other natural phenomena.
